Von Freitag, 7. Juli bis Samstag, 5. August 2023 wird die Innenstadt von Braunau mit dem diesjährigen Theatersommer wieder zur Freiluftbühne.

Das diesjährige Bühnen-Ensemble besteht aus 20 Personen. Der Großteil hat jahre- bis jahrzehntelange Schauspielerfahrung aim Amateurtheaterbereich. Ergänzt wird dieser Grundstock seit 2017 jedes Jahr mit Gast-Profis, dieses Jahr mit Guido Drell und Patrick Brenner.

Diese kongeniale Kombination aus ambitionierten Laienschauspieler*innen und Profis brachte dem bauhoftheater in den letzten Jahren große Erfolge. Mit den Produktionen von KRACH IM HAUSE GOTT (2017), DER BOCKRER (2018), DANTON (frei nach Büchners Dantons Tod – 2019), EIN SOMMERNACHTSTRAUM (2021) und LYSISTRATA (2022) sorgte das bauhoftheater für überregionale Beachtung.
